Designed by Tiger Woods and set to begin construction in 2009 with a grand opening planned for fall of 2010, the golf course at The Cliffs at High Carolina will be located 10 minutes outsides and above the Asheville metropolitan area. The golf course will be designed with golfers of all skill levels in mind, with Woods explaining, "The Cliffs at High Carolina is designed to be a walkable, mountain course that takes advantage of the amazing views and varied landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains."
Opened in April of 2005, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove is North Carolina's only golf course designed by Nicklaus that was, according to the PGA Tour, debuted in tournament-ready conditions. The course offers players challenging greens and fairways, strategic bunkering, and is bordered by the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Pisgah National Forest. The Walnut Cove course is also the first of two Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses; the second is at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls in South Carolina.
The Gary Player Signature Course at The Cliffs at Mountain Park will be the community's seventh championship private course. Carefully incorporating the North Saluda River and a dozen or so smaller streams from the Blue Ridge Mountains, players will have a chance play a round of golf in a peaceful, natural setting that rewards both amateurs and skilled players with both a playable layout and with lower handicaps. Additionally, Gary Player will soon call The Cliffs at Mountain Park his new home.
Designed by Tom Fazio, the golf course at the community of Keowee Springs is recognized as a family-friendly course, a challenging back tee for experience players, and an overall challenging and rewarding experience for all. This course is one of two courses designed by Fazio, with the second located at The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards.
As the second of two courses designed by Tom Fazio, the golf course at The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards is a masterfully designed course that features eight holes on the lake, five within the panoramic views of the mountains, and five along the wilderness of the state park. Golf Digest has ranked this course as the "7th Best Private Course in the Nation," and Fazio has commented that the 17th hole "may be the most picturesque in the state of South Carolina."
The Cliffs at Keowee Falls is home to the second Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at the Cliffs. With rolling, mountainous terrain, a spectacular view, and a 180-degree panoramic view of the course from the Falls Clubhouse and several Falls Golf Cottages located east of the course, it's easy to see why Golfweek magazine recognized this course as one of the Top 50 Best New Courses of 2008. When designing the course, The Nicklaus and The Cliffs Design teams were committed to preserving and protecting the natural features of the terrain that would add to the course's playability and beauty. In fact, one of the signature features of the course is the Falls Creek waterfall.
Renowned golf architect Ben Wright designed his first golf course in the United States, and only residents of The Cliffs Valley community have the privilege to play at this one of a kind course. Opened in 1995, this 18-hole, par-72 course designed in the Parkland style is situated amongst acres of forest protected by The Nature Conservancy. A 28,000 square foot clubhouse and gourmet fresh market is also located onsite.
Recognized by Golf Digest in 1995 as the "Fourth Most Scenic in the Nation" behind Cypress Point, Pebble Beach, and Augusta National, The Cliffs at Glassy golf course sits atop a 3,000 foot plateau on Glassy Mountain, South Carolina. Designed by golf course architect Tom Jackson, players will be inspired by the course's breathtaking views while playing a challenging round of golf.
